Patented clothes to help women in body changes.

"Add & Remove" is a brand that comes from the Dressi J brand. The clothes are built according to a modular criterion. They are made in bands that, thanks to zips, can be added, in case you gain weight, or can be eliminated, for example, in cases of weight loss due to excessive stress. The patent was presented at Mipel, the international fair of leather and fashion accessories in Milan from 17 to 20 September. 2023 The brand aims to be an answer to fast fashion.

The Add & Remove System help women not lose self-esteem when their body changes and a dress becomes too tight or too loose, adding or removing fabric. It is the idea patented by the Neapolitan fashion designer and entrepreneur Carmen Sollo who has created a line with zip and fabrics entitled "Add & Remove".

Trousers, jackets, skirts and other types of garments that adapt to changes in the body. How does that work? The clothes are built according to a modular criterion. They are made in bands that, thanks to zips, can be added, in case you gain weight, or can be eliminated, for example, in cases of weight loss due to excessive stress. "Add & Remove", a brand that comes from the Dressi J brand, "wants to be a response to the dissatisfaction that many women feel with their bodies, for the ideals and unrealistic standards of beauty transmitted by the mass media", explains Sollo.

The idea follows the principles of several researches according to which acting on the perceptual aspects of body image helps women to positively change the consideration they have of themselves, improving their social relationships. In this way, the brand aims to create garments that can easily adapt to changes in women's bodies: "Our idea is to allow women to wear a garment that adapts to their body. Improving possible defects - excessive thinness or overweight - leads to an improvement in self-perception and consequently also to an increase in self-esteem and self-confidence" says the designer, founder of Dressi J. Attention also to the theme of sustainability: thanks to the modular garments system, the brand aims to be an answer to fast fashion.
