How a dress fits means a lot and helping women not to lose heart when their body changes and a dress becomes too tight or too loose could make the difference.
Do you lose weight? Then you need one size smaller. Are you gaining weight? So goodbye to those adorable jeans, let's buy another one. It is the swing - sometimes disheartening - of the life of many of us: the one that almost never allows us to have the same items of clothing in the wardrobe, in constant pursuit of the inexorable change of our body. Welcome, women, every age has its beauty and, why not, its shapes.
But how can we find a middle ground and - above all - how to avoid falling into the mystification of fast fashion, which allows us to renew our drawers without spending much, but at a price that is truly unacceptable for us and for the environment?
The Neapolitan fashion designer and entrepreneur Carmen Sollo had a brilliant idea, who created a line with zips and fabrics called "Add & Remove": from trousers to jackets, from skirts to shoes to bags: everything actually fits sense of the word to changes in the body.
How does it work
The clothes are built according to a modular criterion. They are made in bands which - thanks to zips - can be added, in case you gain weight, or can be eliminated, for example, in cases of weight loss.
All based on a very simple notion: acting on the perceptive aspects of body image helps women to positively change the consideration they have of themselves, improving their social relationships.
Furthermore, thanks to the system that encourages the reuse of garments, the brand aims to be an answer to fast fashion, responsible for 8 -10% of global emissions and contributes 20% to industrial water contamination throughout the world.
The patent will be presented at Mipel, the international leather and fashion accessories fair which will be held in Milan from 17 to 20 September 2023.
